We're Andy, Carla, Winnie and Connie and we are proud to be the faces of Forest Dogs. As our business has grown from humble beginnings with an old police van we've made loads of friends and cared for loads of beloved pets. We've undertaken Canine First Aid training and further canine care qualifications, we've applied and been licensed by Sheffield City Council for daycare and home boarding, opening up our family home to look after your dogs like they are our own.

We cannot express enough how grateful we are for the incredible bloom of our passion - leading us to where we are now with two new custom-fitted vans serving Sheffield, and seeing our newest staff member Alfie join the Forest Dogs family and gain his qualifications.

Andy

Hi I'm Andy, the director of Forest Dogs. My professional background is in drug and alcohol treatment services, and more recently as a research manager at the University of Sheffield but I've always loved and cared for dogs. Autumn 2019 I started Forest Dogs with just a couple of clients and a few ideas. We've invested in our home and garden as the daycare space and in training for Alfie and myself (Canine Behaviour Management Diploma) so we can provide the very best dog care. We believe dogs need other dogs and thrive on our group walks in local forests and the Peak District. I'm proud to now have so many dogs with us and hear when their lovely owners say their dog is a 'Forest Dog' 🐕🌲👍🏼

Carla

Hi, I'm Carla the Forest Dogs administrator! For four days a week I'm a dentist so I have a clinical eye for detail and organisation. I handle some of the enquiries and the invoicing but mostly love looking after the puppies on a Friday! We're a real family business so you'll probably see me and the kids giving your dogs the extra belly rubs and love we think makes Forest Dogs the best place to be!

Alfie

Hi, I'm Alfie, I live really close to Forest Dogs HQ in S10. I have a degree in Zoology and have had some great experiences working with bears in America. I'm now loving helping to look after your dogs (some fluffy like the bears!) on walks, daycare and take on the home boarding at HQ when Andy is away. I have completed my Canine First Aid and an accredited Puppy Training certificate so loving helping the little pups graduate into fully fledged Forest Dogs!

Dana

Hi, I'm Dana! I started working at Forest Dogs early 2022 and I have loved getting to know all these adorable pooches! I have completed a Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management and have some volunteering experience with dogs under my belt too, including the RSPCA and Support Dogs. I have a little dog of my own - Rex, who joins me on some walks, he's loved meeting the Forest Dog pack as much as I have!

Amy

Hi, I'm Amy and I recently joined the amazing Forest Dogs team in mid 2023.
I have worked with dogs for several years in boarding kennels, daycare centres and a rehoming centre. I have experience working as a puppy trainer, providing health checks, and also helping out in a grooming facility. I have completed a Level 2 Animal Care and a Level 3 Animal Management and Science Diploma plus Level 2 Dog Grooming. I am now (2023) back at college in Sheffield studying for my Level 3 Dog Grooming so in addition to the walks and daycare I will be offering the frizziest Forest Dogs my sure-handed spruce and styling soon! I have my own cutie Cavapoo, Meadow that I sometimes bring to Forest Dogs with me and she loves seeing all her new doggy friends! 🐾 🐶

Winnie (Winifred)

Winnie is almost 7 years old and the original Forest Dog! She has been with us since puppy and supported us through some really tough times. Don't let the frame fool you, she's one of the fastest pugs in Sheffield, especially if she hears the word "Cheese!" She is great with the puppies and actually really helps when socialising as she has a lot of patience (but has her boundaries too!)

Connie (Constance)

Connie is almost 2 years old. We got her from a gun dog trainer at the beginning of the Forest Dogs story. She is like the opposite of Winnie and so work great as a duo! She never stops on walks and is a great lead dog for others to chase and play with. She's not as patient with the pups as Winnie but very happy to relax and snooze at home with the others after a good walk.
